Welcome to UmmahPanel ("we", "our", or "the Platform"). UmmahPanel is a comprehensive school and community management platform designed for mosques, madrasahs, and educational institutions (including our partner institutions such as Essalam Moskee).
This Privacy Policy explains how our mobile application and web portals collect, use, and protect your personal information when you access or use our services as a student, parent, teacher, or administrator.
2. Information We Collect
We only collect information necessary to provide educational and attendance tracking services:
- Account Credentials: Name, username, email address, password hash, and user role (student, parent, teacher, administrator).
- Student & Parent Information: Date of admission, class enrollments, parent phone number, emergency contact details, and address for school records.
- Academic & Attendance Records: Lesson attendance logs, absence notifications, grades, teacher observations, and homework submissions.
- Photos & Camera Data: Images captured or uploaded from device storage exclusively for homework assignment attachments and instructional study materials. We do not access your photos or camera for any other purpose.
- Payment Overviews: Information regarding course enrollment fees, installment schedules, and material fee payment statuses. Online payments are securely processed by authorized third-party gateways (e.g. Stripe); UmmahPanel does not store credit card or bank credentials.
3. How We Use Your Information
Your information is used strictly for legitimate school and community management operations:
- Managing classroom attendance and course rosters.
- Assigning and reviewing student homework.
- Notifying parents regarding attendance status and school communications.
- Providing teachers and administration with necessary educational records.
- Ensuring app stability, data synchronization, and security.
We never sell, rent, or share personal information with third-party advertisers or data brokers.
4. Data Security & Storage
We employ industry-standard organizational and technical security measures. All communications between the mobile application and our servers are encrypted using modern Transport Layer Security (TLS/HTTPS). User passwords are protected using robust cryptographic hashing algorithms.
5. Account Deletion & Data Rights (GDPR & Apple Compliance)
You retain complete rights over your personal data under applicable data privacy regulations (including GDPR). You may:
- Access or export the personal information stored in your account.
- Request corrections to inaccurate personal data.
- Request permanent deletion of your account and associated personal data.
How to Request Account Deletion:
You can request account deletion directly within the UmmahPanel mobile app under Account Settings → Request Account Deletion, or by submitting a written request to support@ummahpanel.com or your participating school administration. Requests are processed within 30 business days.
6. Children's Privacy (COPPA & GDPR-K)
As an educational platform, student profiles for minors are provisioned solely under the supervision of their school administration and parent/legal guardian. We do not knowingly permit minors to create unverified accounts independently.
